Devised Theatre Opportunity in Colombia, Spring 2020

Special Topics in Devised Theatre Program Offered in Conjunction with Universidad de Caldas, Manizales, Columbia

Purdue students for the opportunity to join this collaborative theatre production alongside four visiting students from Colombia in Spring 2020. Through weekly coursework between February and April 2020, participants will work together to design, produce, and perform this one-of-a-kind theatre production. A public final performance will take place in the Mallett Theatre in April.

Participants will earn THTR 390: Special Topics in Devised Theatre (3) through a course offered by Joel Ebarb.

After this course, participants will have the opportunity to travel to Colombia in May 2020 to take additional coursework and perform for a public audience at Universidad de Caldas in Manizales.

Requirements:
* No prior acting or production experience is required.
* There are no language prerequisites for this program.

Important note on schedule restrictions: This opportunity is not available for students who may be participating in a Purdue Theatre production and/or reading in Spring 2020, including Angels in America Part One, Angels in America Part Two, Every Brilliant Thing, Bonnets, and Water by the Spoonful.

Otherwise, all theatre majors, minors, certificates, and interested non-majors are strongly encouraged to participate.
