"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already."

FAQs about STAR

  • How important is it to attend STAR?

Extremely important!  STAR is designed to help incoming Purdue students: a) accomplish the things that must be done before the start of the semester in August (registration for classes, etc.) and b) learn information they need to know about being successful at Purdue.  The best way to prepare for your first semester at Purdue is to attend STAR.

Students who do not attend this program will still receive advisement and be registered for their fall courses, but they will not be able to do so until after Purdue University’s faculty and staff have concluded serving the students who participated in STAR 2009.
