Interact with displays by students and instructors about living and learning at the intersections of language and culture!

All events are open to the public. Location is Marriott Hall Atrium and John Purdue Room, 900 Mitch Daniels Blvd


Showcase Event Agenda

Student and Staff Videos and Displays 3:005:00pm 

Stories and perspectives of members of the Purdue community who live, study, and work at the intersections of languages and cultures.  

The Showcase will include a variety of activities to showcase themes of language and cultural exchange. Displays will be of special interest to students, faculty, and staff who interact with international students or who want to learn about different perspectives and approaches to language learning and internationalization of the curriculum. Visitors are welcome to come by at any time during this dynamic and interactive event.  


5:00–6:00pm Surabhi Ensemble: Music and Dance Performance

Music and dance from the Indian, African, and Spanish flamenco traditions

The Surabhi Ensemble is a global collective based in Chicago that builds cross-cultural exchange through virtuosic music and dance. The mission of the Surabhi Ensemble is to demonstrate the connections between cultures and to teach a positive message of togetherness in creating, performing, and demonstrating new works of music and dance. https://www.surabhiensemble.org
