Law and Conflict (LAC)

Welcome to the Law and Conflict (LAC) research lab. Founded by Liana Eustacia Reyes, JD, PhD, LAC supports the efforts of affiliated researchers to conduct and disseminate research on the relationship between law and conflict. More specifically, it produces knowledge on the implications of law for armed intra- and interstate conflict, governance, foreign policy, and peace processes. The work is rigorous, impactful, and policy relevant. It involves faculty and graduate and undergraduate students conducting solo or collaborative research within and outside of political science. A diversity of theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches are taken to understand the determinants and consequences of law and conflict management/resolution.
