Leigh Raymond
Please join me in congratulating Leigh Raymond, professor of political science, on his book, Reclaiming the Atmospheric Commons (MIT Press), for winning the 2017 Lynton Keith Caldwell Award for the best book on environmental policy.
Leigh will receive the award in September at the annual APSA meeting. Leigh’s research focuses on influence of norms of justice and fairness on the design and implementation of market-based environmental policies, including emissions trading policies to address climate change. He has also done research on political communication, policy adoption, and implementation in a wide range of other environmental policy areas, including environmental risk management, renewable fuels, conservation tillage, and biodiversity protection on private lands. He is a past winner of the Kenneth T. Kofmehl Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award.
