Melanie Morgan and Rachel E. Walker-Kulzick

Please join me in congratulating two Liberal Arts faculty members for their recent inductions into the Teaching Academy at Purdue University.

Melanie Morgan, associate professor of communication and director of graduate studies for the Brian Lamb School of Communication, was named as a new Teaching Academy Fellow. Melanie's research interests include communication and aging, aging and the workforce, and the communication of science. Her research has focused on the production of complex messages across legal, organizational, and scientific contexts. She continues to teach courses in research methods, science communication, and intercultural communication.

Rachel Walker-Kulzick, a Ph.D. candidate in the department of political science, was named as a new Teaching Academy Associate. Her major area of study is public policy. Rachel is interested in issues related to contentious policymaking, women in politics, and global women’s issues. Her dissertation focuses on a cross-national comparison of policies that seek to indirectly weaken or undermine other existing laws.

Congratulations, Dr. Morgan and Rachel!
