Rebekah Klein-Pejšová and Silvia Mitchell

Please join me in congratulating Rebekah Klein-Pejšová, associate professor of history and Jewish studies, and director of the Human Rights program, and Silvia Z. Mitchell, assistant professor of history and womens, gender, and sexuality studies for contributing the introduction to the "Forum in the Honor of Charles Ingrao in the 2017 Austrian Yearbook.

The forum contains four essays by Professor Emeritus Charles Ingrao's students. The four essays are: Andrew Thomas, “Wittelsbachs, Habsburgs, and Hohenzollerns: Gender, Kinship, and Confession in the Funeral Literature for Susanna of Bavaria”; John Fahey, “Undermining a Bulwark of the Monarchy: Civil-Military Relations in Fortress Przemyśl (1871-1914)”; Timothy Olin, “Cultivating an Orderly Society: Physical and Mental Landscapes on the Habsburg’s Southern Frontiers”; and Yasir Yilmaz, “Nebulous Ottomans vs. Good Old Habsburgs: A Historiographical Comparison.”

This commemorative forum is great recognition for Charles Ingrao, emeritus professor of history, that celebrates the legacy of scholarship that he imparted to his students.

Congratulations Dr. Klein-Pejšová and Dr. Mitchell!
