Workshop and Showcase: Audition and Monologue

Presented by Purdue Theatre Seniors and APO Presidents Erica Colarusso and Jackson Janowicz

Erica Colarusso and Jackson Janowicz lead a weekend workshop and showcase for students to hone their audition techniques and develop monologues.

THE WORKSHOPS

Saturday, November 23 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm (optional Q&A from 4-4:15pm)
Sunday, November. 24th from 3:30 - 5:30pm (optional Q&A from 5:30-5:45pm)
Purdue University, Yue-Kong Pao Hall Acting Studio, Room 2164

Students will need to have a short monologue (1-2 min) from a play prepared for the workshop. Memorization not required, but highly encouraged. Students will have individual time to work their monologues with feedback and help from Erica and Jackson. After the workshops,  there will be an optional Q&A period with Erica and Jackson to discuss tips for success in college theatre programs, for college and professional auditions.

THE SHOWCASES

Saturday, November 23 at 7:30 pm
Sunday, November 24 at 2:30 pm 

Workshop leaders Erica and Jackson will present a showcase of monologues after the Saturday workshop at 7:30 pm and before the Sunday workshop at 2:30 pm. Students are encouraged to attend the showcase in conjunction with the workshop. The showcase is free to attend and will last no longer than an hour.
