Upcoming Workshop: Donuts, Coffee, Digital Composition

September 25, 2022 Monica Wolfe

Tired of teaching infographics and research posters?

Join us Thursday, October 6, 2022 in Heavilon G42 for a workshop on multimodal assignments. This workshop, presented by ICaP and GradSEA, aims to help instructors refresh their existing multimodal assignments and add new digital composition tools to their repertoires.

Presenters Marisa Yerace, Rochel Bergman, Adrianna Deptula, and Monica Wolfe will give a tour of several tools that instructors and students can use to practice digital composition in novel ways, including visualizing the research process through Litmaps, creating digital portfolios and digital archives with website building platforms, and remediating work with Twine and Storyboardthat.

In addition to a series of short talks and tutorials, the workshop will include open discussion with attendees to brainstorm creative ways forward in teaching multimodality for the full range of ICaP syllabus themes.

Date: Thursday, October 6, 2022
Time: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
