Biography
Kathleen Campbell

Kathleen Campbell was born in Los Angeles, California in 1944. She has a Master's degree and a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, as well as a Master's degree in art education and a Bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Florida, Gainesville. Her interests lie both in the visual arts and in photographic history and criticism. Her work in photography and mixed media has been exhibited widely at such places as the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, San Antonio, Texas; CEPA Gallery, Buffalo, New York; the International House, New York City; the University of the Arts, Philadelphia; the Houston Center for Photography; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo; and the Castellani Art Museum, Sanborn, New York. She has also worked as a curator, notably at CEPA Gallery in Buffalo. Curated exhibitions include: Return to the Pleasure Principle and Multiple Affinities: A Convergence of Printmaking and Photographic Practice. She is currently an assistant professor of art at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.

Kathleen Campbell's visual work has been published in Robert Hirsch, Exploring Color Photography, 2nd ed.
