Abstract:

During this 90-minute talk, Mr. Guan will speak in English for the first 30 minutes, where he talks about the 'Why', explaining the relationship between traditional Chinese painting, nature, and society. For the remaining hour, he will speak in Chinese about the 'How', a closer look at the uniqueness form of Chinese painting, its underlying theories and brushstroke technique.
