To obtain a major in Classical Studies at Purdue University, the student must complete 33 credit hours in one of three major tracks: Classical Languages, Literature and Culture, or Material Culture and History. These three tracks help students steer their way through a rich variety of interdisciplinary offerings.
To fulfill a Classics minor, the student must complete 15 credit hours, selecting one foundational course and four additional courses from a wide variety of interdisciplinary offerings in ancient Latin and Greek languages, culture, history, literature, archaeology, art, philosophy, and related areas.
Important note for majors declared before Spring 2011 and minors declared before Spring 2014:
If you have questions about continuing the plans of study, please contact the Classics advisor, Lupita Acosta-Roberts (firstname.lastname@example.org).
