Affirmative Action Procedures

The College of Liberal Arts is firmly committed to a policy of affirmative action in its employment policies and to a policy of equal access in its educational programs.  After the dean has approved a search and prior to beginning each tenure-track, clinical, research faculty, or continuing lecturer search, a contact should be made with Katherine Prochno who is the liaison between the College of Liberal Arts and Purdue’s Office of Ethics and Compliance.  She will send “Faculty Search and Screen Procedures” published by the Office of Ethics and Compliance, and provide a list of the steps which must be followed in order to meet our college’s affirmative action guidelines (College of Liberal Arts Faculty Recruitment Procedures). See CLA Affirmative Action Procedures for Administrative/Professional Appointments and CLA Affirmative Action Procedures for Clerical/Service Appointments for information about how these positions are filled.  If you have questions about these procedures, contact Ms. Prochno.
