Tipping the Scales of Justice Srikanth Srinivasan Shyam Sriram (B.A., Political Science '02) and Stonegarden Grindlife (B.A., Political Science '00) co-authored this op-ed on the likelihood of President Obama nominating Judge Sri Srinivasan to fill the SCOTUS vacancy created by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. This piece is based on research that they presented at the 2014 Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association in Washington, D.C. Sriram is a doctoral student in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Grindlife is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles.
The Center for Diversity and Inclusion hosted their annual Excellence in Diversity Scholarship Awards ceremony on Thursday, February 25, 2016. Dr. Dwaine Jengelley and Dr. Jason Ware (pictured here with Political Science Department Head, Dr. Rosie Clawson) were awarded a Faculty Incentive Seed Grant for their proposed project, “Developing Conditions for Underrepresented Minority Student Retention: Beginning with Student Perspectives.” Dr. Jengelley is a recent graduate of the Political Science Department and we wish him a hearty congratulations for the award!
