I-HOPE INITIATIVE

Please join me in congratulating faculty members in the Brian Lamb School of Communication who are partners in the new Indiana Healthy Opportunities for People Everywhere (I-HOPE) initiative. I-HOPE is a two-year collaboration between the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering and the Indiana Department of Health. Faculty members Professor and Head Marifran Mattson, Associate Professor Evan Perrault, Assistant Professor Ilwoo Ju, and Assistant Professor Hwanseok Song, as well as graduate students, Bhakti Chavda, Beth Ann Labadorf, and Prudence Mbah, are part of the project.

The Lamb School’s involvement will center on assisting communities to develop strategic health communication campaigns based on the priorities that those communities identify for themselves with the help of other I-HOPE partners. They will also be developing and providing health communication strategy trainings for public health departments

The I-HOPE initiative aims to level the playing field for all Hoosier communities when it comes to accessing health and healthcare resources, especially considering existing disparities that have only become more evident throughout the COVID pandemic.

Congratulations, to these Brian Lamb School of Communication faculty and graduate students!
