Tony Silva and Zhaozhe Wang
Please join me in congratulating Tony Silva, professor of English and director of the Graduate Program in Second Language Studies, and Zhaozhe Wang, a student in that program, on the publication of a new book.
Tony and Zhaozhe are co-editors of Reconciling Translingualism and Second Language Writing (Routledge, 2021), part of Routledge’s ESL and Applied Linguistics Professional Series. By introducing scholarly perspectives in the debate between the translingual movement and the field of second language writing, their book aims to promote reconciliation between the two schools of thought by examining their differences in theory and practice. The volume offers timely contributions to TESOL, applied linguistics, and composition studies.
