Jennifer Lee Johnson

Please join me in congratulating Jennifer Lee Johnson, assistant professor of anthropology, for being selected to participate in a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation leadership program.

Jennifer was selected for the Interdisciplinary Research Leaders program, which supports teams of two researchers and one community leader for three years. The teams conduct rigorous research to explore critical issues in their communities, then apply their findings to advance health and equity.

Jennifer will focus on environmental contamination and community health in Martinsville, Indiana, which has seen pervasive exposures to toxic chemical and rising rates of cancer and poverty. The goal of Jennifer’s project is to improve how information on exposure risk is produced and consumed, thereby creating better health outcomes and equity in Martinsville and beyond.

Congratulations, Dr. Johnson!
