Marcia Stephenson and students
Please join me in congratulating Marcia Stephenson, Spanish and Portuguese chair in the School of Languages and Cultures, and her students Ross Plummer, Anna Ratterman, and Sydney Luk for their winning the 2019 Indiana Outstanding College Student of Spanish Award from the Indiana Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
The award recognizes students for their outstanding academic record, exceptional interest for the Iberoamerican culture, exemplary community service, overseas experience, and passion for Spanish language, culture, and literature. Marcia nominated the three Purdue students for this honor.
The award ceremony will take place on Nov. 2 during the Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association Conference. The Purdue students will be recognized alongside other exceptional students from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana University Bloomington, Marian University, and Valparaiso University.
