Boiler Communication students

Please join me in congratulating students in Boiler Communication, the student-run public relations firm in the Brian Lamb School of Communication, for their recent showing at the Pinnacle Awards.

The Hoosier Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America recognized Purdue teams with two best in show awards and two Pinnacle Awards at the April 10 ceremony, which celebrated Indiana’s top PR and communications campaigns of the year.

Boiler Com’s winning teams were:

  • Macey Warren, Brock Martin, Anna Schiferl, Madison Voss, and Hallie Tepperman, who won best in show for their work for the Purdue Engineering Distinguished Lecture Series.

  • Mackenzie Breneman, Natalie Weber, Nate Piggush, Joanna Brundza, Bailie Pelletier, Hope Garland, and Jacqueline Logan, who won a Pinnacle Award for their work with USA Talk.

  • Jaclyn Lawmaster, Abigail Kienster, Alyssa Ross, Betsy Bastnagel, Anna Raben, and Hallie Tepperman, who won best in show for their work with Special Olympics of Tippecanoe County.

  • Hallie Tepperman, Jaclyn Lawmaster, Macey Warren, Alyson Braden, Mady Athey, and Jacqueline Logan, who won a Pinnacle Award for their work with Purdue Press.

Led by advisor and continuing lecturer Christi Eden, Boiler Com is the Lamb School’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) affiliate within the state’s professional PRSA. Since 2015, Boiler Com has won 14 statewide awards for its campaigns.
