Betty Lewis

Please join me in congratulating Betty Lewis, schedule and building deputy in the School of Languages and Cultures, for winning the 2019 Eudoxia Girard Martin Memorial Staff Recognition Award.

This award recognizes a staff member who, “in service to the University community, demonstrates those qualities of heart, mind, and spirit that evince a love for and helpfulness to students, faculty, and staff.” Established in 2001 by the sons of Eudoxia Girard Martin – a longtime executive secretary in engineering administration – the award and $1,000 honorarium are intended for administrative assistants with at least five years of continuous service on the West Lafayette campus. Betty was graduate secretary for the School of Languages and Cultures from 2000 to 2013 and has been scheduling deputy since 2013.

Betty will receive the Martin Award at the Clerical and Service Staff Recognition Luncheon on Dec. 12 at the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center.

Congratulations, Betty!
