Please join me in congratulating Josh Scacco, assistant professor in the Brian Lamb School of Communication and courtesy faculty of Political Science, for being awarded the Lynda Lee Kaid Outstanding Dissertation Award!
Presented by the Political Communication Division of the National Communication Association, the award recognizes impressive content analysis, rigorous methodologies, and contributions to furthering the field of political communication. Josh's dissertation, "Presidential Prediction: The Strategic Construction and Influence of Expectation Frames", was authored while obtaining his Ph.D from The University of Texas at Austin. Josh specializes in media theory and politics, with interest in the communicative role of political leaders, journalists, and news outlets play in American political life.
