Kim Osborne

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Kim Osborne, the inaugural C-SPAN Chair Professional in Residence in the Brian Lamb School of Communication, upon her recent election to the Board of Directors of the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE).

NAMLE is the leading professional organization dedicated to helping individuals of all ages develop the habits of inquiry and skills of expression that they need to become critical thinkers, effective communicators, and active citizens in today’s media-saturated world. Kim traces her interest in media literacy to her extensive experience as a media professional in the public and private sectors, where she saw firsthand how important it is for people to be able to critically evaluate the information they consume.

Prior to joining us in the fall of 2015, Kim served as an advisor to senior leaders of U.S. and foreign militaries and governments, Fortune 500 companies, institutions of higher education, and nonprofit organizations. She is also the founder and chief executive officer of an international management and communications consulting firm. We are pleased she has joined the College and excited to celebrate her latest accomplishment.

Congratulations, Dr. Osborne!
