William McBride
Please join me in congratulating Professor William McBride, the Arthur G. Hansen Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, who was unanimously chosen by the Senate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens to be given the title of doctor honoris causa. The award, the highest the institution bestows, attests to the credit his work has given to the study of philosophy and asserts the significance and impact of his work.
During his illustrious career, Bill has published widely in his areas of Social and Political Philosophy, Legal Philosophy, and Continental European Philosophy.
Bill was robed by the dean of the college in Athens, Greece, this past weekend.
