Fulbright Award Winners John Fahey, Summer Forester, and Allison Turner

Please join me in congratulating three CLA students who have received Fulbright U.S. Student Program grants for 2015-16:

John Fahey, a graduate student in history, will research the archives of Przemyśl, Poland for information on the political, social, and economic relationship between the city’s civilian population and its military garrison throughout the late Austro-Hungarian Empire and the interwar Polish Republic.

Summer Forester, a graduate student in political science, plans to examine whether and how national security threats affect women’s issues in Jordan, and how the women’s movement initiates policy change when national security threats are high.

Allison Turner, a graduating senior majoring in political science, and natural resources and environmental science in the College of Agriculture, will work on an MS at the University of Waterloo.  She will study a systemic approach to water governance in the Great Lakes from the Canadian side of the border.

Congratulations to these three students on this accomplishment!
