Advising Staff Members Win Honors
Please join me in congratulating three members of the CLA advising staff who have received awards. Jan Cortner, advisor in Sociology, African American Studies, and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, was awarded “Most Outstanding Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD) Academic Counselor” by Purdue’s Gamma Chapter of AKD—the national sociology honor society.
Kathy Zimmerman, CLA graduation auditor and advisor in the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts, received the Administrative/Professional Notestine Award for Professional Excellence. Sidonna Masterson, a secretary in the Liberal Arts Counseling and Student Services office, won the Clerical and Support Staff Notestine Award.
