Melanie Morgan and Bart Collins

Communicating Strategically, a Purdue course featured on the edX platform offering free online courses from the world’s best universities, was selected as one of 90 classes for the edX summer learning program out of over 530 in the platform. The course is cited as one of the most popular on the edX site alongside classes from MIT, the University of California, Berkeley, and Microsoft, and is taught by Melanie Morgan, associate professor and director of graduate studies in the Brian Lamb School of Communication, and Bart Collins, clinical associate professor, director of healthcare communications for the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering in Discovery Park, and director of the online master of science program in strategic communication for the Brian Lamb School of Communication.

Morgan and Collins developed some of the resources for Communicating Strategically in two classes for Purdue NExT, a noncredit online interactive learning environment, and support from Purdue NExT staff members has facilitated the success of the course.

Congratulations to Professors Morgan and Collins for the success of their course Communicating Strategically as well as their leadership in enhancing online teaching and learning and expanding access to education.
