Pre-Planning

We have 4 easy steps for planning your study abroad experience!

1. Talk to your academic advisor

They can help you determine the best time to go abroad based on your plan of study and what requirements, if any, you should try to fulfill while you are abroad. Courses taken abroad count as direct Purdue credit and can count towards major, minor and CLA core requirements.

2. Explore program options

Visit the CLA Study Abroad & International Programs office on the 10th floor of Young Hall or contact us to set up an appointment! Click here for more information about different program options.

3. Consider finances

Location and program type both impact the cost of study abroad. Learn about the cost of living in different countries as well as the different program types to better inform your financial decisions. There are lots of study abroad scholarships available!

4. Apply online
