We are Boilermakers.

With the steady support of alumni and friends we are progressing toward our goal to be one of the finest Colleges of Liberal Arts. Individuals who share Purdue’s high ideals for academic excellence and achievement have a significant impact on our students and faculty. Scholarships, research funding, faculty support, facilities, and programs all benefit from the generosity of our alumni and friends.

Rusty Rueff

With a $5 million commitment that created the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts, Rusty Rueff is a strong advocate for the arts. He recognizes the strong opportunities that Liberal Arts students have at STEM University such As Purdue. Liberal Arts is important, “so that engineers, mathematicians, and scientists don’t end up becoming one-dimensional” he says, estimating that with the intersection of STEM and CLA, students have a great formula for success. To read more on Rusty's involvement and vision for Liberal Arts, read this article in THiNK magazine.

Mary Findling Scholarship Challenge

Purdue alumna Mary Findling created a scholarship challenge to match up to $1 million in support of academic and study abroad scholarships in the College of Liberal Arts. As a CLA alumna, world traveler, and successful lawyer in Indianapolis, Mary has taken advantage of opportunities to grow in her community and beyond. “They learn to look at and analyze the world,” she said of Liberal Arts students, a valuable trait for travel and real-world experiences. To hear how other students have benefitted from studying abroad, and the opportunities granted by Mary’s scholarship challenge, read this article from the most recent edition of THiNK magazine.

Giving to Give Peace a Chance

Milt Lauenstein, ChE ’45, has the resume of a Renaissance Man. CEO. Consultant. Educator. Author. Artist. Activist for peace.
