Professor Natt is the director of the basic public speaking course, COM 114, which enrolls more than 5,000 students each year, and course supervisor for COM 252, Writing for the Mass Media. She opened a Communication Lab to help students with their presentational speaking skills, and in 2008, she and 17 of her writing students spent two months in Beijing working for the official Olympic News Service. Prior to joining the faculty at Purdue in 2000, she spent 15 years as a reporter and editor with The Associated Press.
