Peter Watkins is Visiting Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science. He received his BA in Politics from the University of Warwick in England and his MA and PhD in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to his appointment at Purdue, he was Professor of Political Science at Saint Joseph's College. At Saint Joseph's College he was the recipient of the Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence and of three teaching awards given by the student body. At Purdue he teaches classes in American government and constitutional law. His academic interests include constitutional questions surrounding the death penalty and the presidency of John F. Kennedy.
