Two Factor Authentication/SuccessFactors

Purdue is undergoing a major initiative called Transform Purdue. Parts of the project will impact an individual employee’s ability to access their personal and University data via the OnePurdue SAP Portal (soon to be named SuccessFactors), such as timecards, time off requests, paystubs, and bank account numbers.

By April 1 all faculty, staff, and graduate students are required to have BoilerKey activated in preparations of the Human Capital Management – SuccessFactors  project. Duo Mobile (a smartphone app) is the suggested method for this two factor authentication. The hard token may be requested if the customer does not wish to use a smart phone to provide the two-factor authentication token.

BoilerKey only needs to be enabled for the OnePurdue SAP Portal at this time.

Secure BRASS

The College of Liberal Arts has sponsored the development and creation of the BRASS server, a secure research hub to perform data analysis and computing in all areas of the social sciences. The remote server was created to provide easy-to-use analysis tools for researchers, and it can be accessed from a personal computer or Mac computer on campus, or from anywhere with a secure VPN connection. The Secure BRASS server is also available for research that includes restricted data, such as protected health, personal or government information.
