Password Resets and Two Factor Authentication

Purdue recently sent an email requiring all employees to reset their Purdue password (by Sept 10th). If an employee's password is not changed by this date, the account will be locked.

Please use these instructions to reset your password.

This fall, Purdue will be requiring two factor authentication to be used in order to access additional Purdue websites and services. Purdue employees can sign up for BoilerKey by visiting www.purdue.edu/boilerkey.

Duo Mobile (a smartphone app) is the suggested method for this two factor authentication. The hard token may be requested if the customer does not wish to use a smart phone to provide the two-factor authentication token.

Adobe, OneDrive, and New VoIP Phones

All full-time Purdue employees (graduate and undergraduate students excluded) are eligible to use the new Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.  The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app can be installed on your CLA computer from the Software Center (Windows) and Self Service (macOS). Once installed, customers can pick and choose which Adobe applications to install.

Purdue employees are also eligible for 1TB (1,024GB) of file storage on Microsoft's OneDrive cloud service. This application is already installed on your CLA computer. This is a great way to backup and share your files with other Purdue units and employees.

New Voice over IP (VoIP) phones are being installed across campus. Many of our CLA colleagues have already received their new phone. Please read the below release for further details.

Instruction and Tips

Please remember to leave your desktop computers powered on at all times for security patches and software updates. This ensures our computers and network are secure at all times. When a computer is turned off for long periods or kept in a closet for storage, they are an instant security risk when turned on and connected to CLA's network.

Keeping your email mailbox organized and archived is a great way to ensure you experience less issues with Outlook clients. Archives are a great place to store older emails that are not needed on a regular basis. If you would like any assistance in archiving your mail box, please contact our Service Desk.
