Specialization: Reproductive justice and health, policy, intersectionality, inequalities, and maternal mortality
Major themes in my work are based on an intersectional reproductive justice perspective and include the landscape of contraceptives and barriers to reproductive healthcare, the influence of power dynamics on sexual decision-making, and the impact of policies on reproductive health services and outcomes.
My dissertation research focuses on the impact of reproductive justice and health policies on reproductive health outcomes for marginalized communities. Specifically, the project focuses on evaluating the ways in which specific reproductive ideologies and policies impact maternal mortality rates and racial disparities in maternal mortality outcomes.
