Create Content 1 and Content 2

Content 1 and Content 2 will have the same editing boxes with the exception of the right navigation editing box. (This box will only be included in the content 2 editor.)

Right Nav(Content 2 Only)

Here is the box to insert text that will display in the right side of the webpage.

Content2RightNav

Editing in this box is the same as in the main content box. More information can be found at the following link: WYSIWG

Step 1: Go to New → Department or Office → Content 1 or Content 2

ContentStep1

Step 2: System Name & Parent Folder

ContentStep2

System Name: The system name will be the name of the new page.  It will be shown under the parent folder it is created in.

Parent Folder: The parent folder is where you choose to locate/save the new page. Always double check to make sure it is in the correct location. To change the location, click on the magnifying glass and select the folder to place the new page in.

Step 3: Inline Metadata

ContentStep3

Display Name: The display name will be inserted into the menu at the top of the page if the "Page Appears in Navigation: Top" box is checked.

Title: The title will be inserted into the left side content section and a link to the page will be created here. It is common for the title to be the same as the Page Headline (doesn't have to be).

Page Appears in Navigation: If this box is selected, the display name will be inserted into the menu at the top of the page.

Sort Order: Sort order is the order in which the links for the pages display in the menu at the top of the page. This is set alphabetically. For example, if the letter A is entered for New Page 1 and the letter B is entered for New Page 2, the display names for these new pages will display in the top menu as New Page 2, New Page 2.

See more on sorting the top navigation here: Top Navigation Sorting

See more on sorting side navigation here: Side Navigation Sorting

Step 4: Content Page

ContentStep4

The Content Page box is a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). Here you can insert all of the content for the new page such as text, images, videos, and hyperlinks. See the link below for more information on creating and editing in the MainContent Box.

Step 5: BannerImage

ContentStep5

For a tutorial on adding or editing a banner image, see this link: Banners

Step 6: Side Content

Here is the box to insert text that will display in the side content section of the webpage.

ContentStep6

Text, images, and media inserted into the SideContent box get inserted into the side of the page under side navigation as seen below. The About would be the side navigation which is inserted there by giving content a title under Inline Metadata. The side content would show below this side navigation.

Editing in this box is the same as in the main content box. More information can be found at the following link: WYSIWYG

Step 7: Page Style

ContentStep7

In the page style it is possible to control page specific styles. This is not used often; however, can be useful if there is a style needed just for that page.
