  • Bioarchaeology

  • My specialty is bioarchaeology. I am interested in the detection of patterns of activity using changes at muscular and ligamentous attachment sites, especially in the spinal column. By examining these areas of change, I hope to identify areas of particularly heavy loading, which will help lend insight into the daily activities of past peoples. My geographical region of focus is Croatia, especially during the transition from the late medieval period to the early modern period, when the Ottoman Empire invaded. My faculty adviser is Dr. Michele Buzon.
