  • Gender and sexuality, identity, sex work, gender-based violence, health in vulnerable populations, theatre as methodology.

  • My research focuses on how heteronormative expectations of gender and sexuality influence perceptions of deservigness and access to health. I work with cisgender and transgender women who participate in sex work in Guatemala City. I am currently exploring with them the potential and limitations of using theatre, public testimony, and other artistic methods to explore personal histories with stigma, exclusion, and violence.
