ERIC KORCHNAK

KorchnakBA 1999, Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts

Senior Graphic Designer, Purdue Federal Credit Union, West Lafayette, IN

Eric Korchnak has been an in-house graphic designer at Purdue Federal Credit Union since 2009. Printed materials, communications pieces and campaign artwork including digital signage, messaging, ads and billboards are all designed in house. Additionally, Eric has been heavily involved in the new branding look as the credit union renovates its brances. He has also had the pleasure of desiging many of the credit and debit cards issued by the credit union, and is privileged to have created three credit cards celebrating Purdue's contribution to the space program. Because of the partnerships, he has had the honor of meeting astronauts Gene Cernan and more recently Jerry Ross in conjunction with issuing those cards.

Previously, he worked in the pre-press department at the Lafayette Journal & Courier, and was an HVAC designer/draftsman for Hill Mechanical Group in Chicago. He also runs a freelance business where he provides graphic design services.

While attending Purdue, Eric was a member of the Reamer Club. During his time in the club, he helped to build the Boilermaker Xtra Special and was a pilot of the larger Boilermaker Special.

Eric resides in West Lafayette with his wife and two children.
