  • MELODIE CARR attended Indiana University as a ballet major/music minor, eventually earning her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from New College at the University of Alabama. She also earned a 60-hour M.F.A. in Book Arts from the University of Alabama. Melodie has studied and danced in Chicago, Indianapolis, New York City, and Louisville (with the Louisville Ballet Company). She has had the good fortune to have performed with Mikhail Baryshnikov and Rudolf Nureyev. Melodie teaches Ballroom and Swing dance classes in Muncie as well as her ballet classes here at Purdue. She also works with elementary-high school students with disabilities in Indianapolis.
