Born in Mexico and growing up in the United States has influenced Alejandra not only as a person but also as an artist and designer.

After attainting her BFA in fashion design from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California, Alejandra worked as a fashion designer within the bridal industry. This brief professional experience awakened in her a need to academically explore ethical paradigms in the fashion industry. She is now working towards her MFA at Purdue University focusing on sustainability in fashion where she more specifically addresses social responsibility, environmental consciousness, and cultural integrity. Alejandra aspires to reach consumers, designers, and industry leaders in a battle against an industry damaging our today, and threatening our tomorrow.

Alejandra is currently a Design Associate for Mercado Global in Panajachel, Guatemala.
