Spencer Headworth received the 2019 Distinguished Article Award of the American Sociological Association's Sociology of Law Section, for his article "Getting to Know You: Welfare Fraud Investigation and the Appropriation of Social Ties."

Dan Winchester was awarded the "Junior Theorist Award for Best Article" from the ASA Theory Section for his article with Kyle D. Green, "Talking Your Self into It: How and When Accounts Shape Motivation for Action".
