As a courtesy to the campus community, the School of Languages and Cultures maintains a list of qualified tutors. These tutors are considered private contractors and, although many of them are affiliated with Purdue, the School of Languages and Cultures is not responsible for the quality of their performance, whether the tutoring activity takes place on or off campus. Fees are negotiated directly between tutor and client.

Erika Gautschi


Native German speaker; born and raised in Basel, CH; dual citizen US and CH; MA from Purdue; taught German at SLC (formerly FLL) --- language courses at all levels ---including Business German, for 20+ years; now freelancing doing translations (GER to English, and English to GER); tutoring at any level.

Robert Meya


A German-American who grew up in America for most of his life. He is fluent in reading, writing, and speaking both German and English. He has tutored different levels of German since high school and is currently a senior attending Purdue University. He is a translator for any documents that need German to English translation and vice-versa.

Deliya Kuleshov


She is a native speaker of Russian, and has a Master's degree in TESOL/Linguistics.She also posssess a certificate of teaching Russian as a foreign language from MSU.Currently, she works at Purdue as a limited term lecturer in Russian.

David Canales Garcia


He is a research assistant in Astrodynamics.

Kent Burkman


He is a Cuban-American from Miami, Florida and is a native Spanish speaker. He has tutored both high school and college level Spanish in the past and enjoys helping others learn to appreciate both the language and the rich culture.
