  1. The Southern States Communication Association Undergraduate Honors Conference:
    • Date: April 3-7, 2019
    • Submission Deadline: Dec. 10, 2018
    • Location: Montgomery, Ala.
    • Description: The SSCA conference is held in the Southern region of the United States annually. Within the SSCA, there is a conference specifically for undergraduate students to present their research and network with other students and research professionals. There are many options of types of projects to be submitted, including a case study, applied research project, campaign, or digital or film project.   2. DePauw Undergraduate Honors Conference
    • Date: April 4-6, 2019
    • Submission Deadline: Jan. 7, 2019
    • Location: Greencastle, Ind.
    • Description: The Department of Communication and Theatre at DePauw University is sponsoring its 45th National Undergraduate Honors Conference. Undergraduate students in all areas of communication are welcome to participate in this opportunity to further aid their path towards graduate school and future professions.   3. The Central States Communication Association Undergraduate Section
    • Date: April 5-6, 2019
    • Submission Deadline: Jan. 11, 2019
    • Location: Omaha, Neb.
    • Description: The Undergraduate Honors Research Conference will be held during the 88th Annual CSCA convention. Students are encouraged to present their research projects to showcase their creative ideas. The UHRC is an opportunity for students to meet graduate faculty and interact with leading scholars.   4. Undergraduate Research Conference: Butler University
    • Date: April 12, 2019
    • Location: Indianapolis
    • Deadlines:

      • Registration Deadline: March 29, 2019
    • Description: The Undergraduate Research Conference is celebrating its 31st year of providing students from around the country an opportunity to showcase their research and creative endeavor. The keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Bill McKinney, a nationally recognized teacher, scholar, and academic leader.

  5. 54th National Collegiate Honors Council Annual Conference
    • Date: Nov. 6-10, 2019
    • Location: New Orleans
    • Deadlines:
      • Submission Deadline: Feb. 28, 2019
      • Registration Deadline: Aug. 9, 2019
    • Description: “Disrupting Education: Creativity and Innovation in Honors” is the theme of 2019. New Orleans, known for its creative and innovative approaches to everything from education and environment to music and food, provides the perfect background/ backdrop for our explorations. The conference accepts different types of proposals, such as General Sessions, Workshops, and Panels. More information can be found on the website.

  6. Purdue Undergraduate Research Conference

    • Description: A special oral presentation track has been added this year to mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo lunar landing. Research that utilizes Apollo-related archival sources will be eligible for awards in this one-time "Apollo in the Archives" category sponsored by Purdue Archives and Special Collections.

  7. Undergraduate Communication Research Conference
    • Date: April 26, 2019
    • Location: Saint Paul, Minn.
    • Submission Deadline: March 11, 2019‌
    • Description: The annual Undergraduate Communication Research Conference is sponsored by the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of St. Thomas. It is designed as a celebration of undergraduate research in all areas of the communication discipline, bringing together students and faculty from colleges and universities of the upper Midwest. The keynote speaker of the conference will be Dr. Mark Meisner who is the executive director of the International Environmental Communication Association, and has experience as a teacher, editor, information technology consultant, media analyst, and administrator of cultural programs.

  8. National Communication Association 105th Annual Convention: Communication for Survival
    • Date: Nov. 14-17, 2019
    • Location: Baltimore
    • Submission Deadline: March 27, 2019
    • Description: NCA especially welcomes topics related to the 2019 Baltimore Convention “Communication for Survival.” Communication for survival attends to everyday aspects of human life: build relationships, sustain communities, examine resistance to oppressive structures, change society for the better, and provide peace of mind. The Student Section also invites competitive scholarship outside of the convention theme. NCA invites panel discussions, individual paper submissions (including paper submission and scholar-to-scholar sessions), and proposals for participation in seminars for the praxis of communication for survival.     • Description: The Bay Area Undergraduate Communication Research Conference encourages and supports undergraduate research in all areas of Communication Studies. This conference creates an opportunity for undergraduate students to present their research, network with students and professors from other universities, and gain a larger perspective regarding research and the Communication Studies discipline.

  11. Ball State University Communication Research Conference

    • Location: Muncie, Ind.
    • Submission Deadline: Aug. 30, 2019
    • Description: The first annual undergraduate Communication Research Conference, hosted by Ball State’s Department of Communication Studies, provides undergraduate students in Communication Studies and related disciplines an opportunity to present and discuss their academic work. The purpose of this event is to give students the opportunity to engage in conversation about their work with other undergraduate students in the region, display their communication research, and further develop their presentational and professional skills.
