  • Rose is excited to be joining Purdue Theatre as Costume Shop Manager. A costume technician for over 17 years she works closely with artists, costume and fashion designers, and performers to turn their garment ideas into wearable reality. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a theatre minor from Viterbo College in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and proceeded to obtain a Masters of Fine Arts in costume technology from the University of Illinois/Urbana-Champaign. As a freelancer Rose had residencies with Indiana Repertory Theatre, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Arizona Repertory Theatre, and American Players Theatre. For 14 years as the Assistant Costume Director-Cutter/Draper with the University of Illinois she engaged undergraduate and graduate theatre students in the collaborative craft of costume making. She enjoys building dynamic, caring, successful teams who are committed to doing their best work. For the American Players Theatre 2013 season she enthusiastically draped and fit costumes for Hamlet (Costume Design: Alejo Vietti) and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Costume Design: Holly Payne).  In addition, an avid cyclist, Rose practices balancing contemplation and action both on and off her bike.
