ArtCart

Purdue Galleries ArtCart provides hands-on art activities for area young people - in the neighborhoods where they live, at local arts festivals, community centers, and schools. ArtCart is essentially a bookmobile for art.
To inspire an understanding and appreciation of art in a time when arts activities in schools and field trips to cultural organizations are being curtailed for budgetary reasons, Purdue Galleries is taking a proactive approach to offer activities free of charge where young people live and play – and do so in a “carnival” atmosphere that is lively and fun.
ArtCart is only possible through the very generous contributions of student and community volunteers and with your support.

Purdue Galleries owes a great thanks to North Central Health Services and Tippecanoe Arts Federation, and TAF's executive director Tetia Lee in particular, for their generous support of the ArtCart program through funding for our new ArtCart van. This purchase has allowed us to extend outreach into this region and conduct our activities with greater professionalism in a larger and more reliable vehicle.
Due to our own recent budgetary restrictions, we would welcome community and corporate support to continue to make arts activities a vital part of the lives of people of all ages in this region.
