Students with SAT (Verbal and Math) scores of 1800 or higher, an ACT composite score of 26 or higher, or those who graduated in the upper 10% of their class are eligible to take Honors classes and should plan to attend. Students who have been accepted into the Dean’s Freshman Scholar Program should also plan to attend.

 

10:30 – 5:00    From this point on, your day will vary depending on your advising appointment. You will begin registration for courses; take your foreign language placement test*, and Advanced Credit Exams in other areas of interest you wish to pursue.

*Foreign language placement tests are given on a walk-in basis from 9:30 to 3:00 in Stanley Coulter Hall room 231. Testing ends at 3:00. French, German, and Spanish tests take about thirty minutes. Latin, Japanese, and Russian tests take up to one hour. Math Advanced Credit Exams are given at 1:30 in G130 of the Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering, which is abbreviated as “FRNY” on campus maps. You will need a green authorization form from your advisor for each exam you would like to take.
