Summer Transition, Advising, and Registration
STAR (Summer Transition, Advising, and Registration) is Purdue's required orientation program for new, domestic, first-year and transfer students. During STAR you spend a full day at Purdue attending orientation sessions, meeting with your academic advisor, registering for fall semester classes, and getting ready to begin your academic career at Purdue in August.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit your assigned residence hall, take placement & advanced credit exams, visit bookstores, and ask any questions you may have. Parents and other family members are more than welcome to join you.
Students register themselves for STAR online using the myPurdue portal. If you have questions contact the SATS (Student Access, Transition and Success) Programs office at (765) 494-9328.
