Welcome to the Laryngeal Research Laboratory at Purdue University

Beth Erickson Tests a Subject for the Laryngeal Lab

Our research focus is to identify the physiological mechanisms that regulate vocal fold homeostasis. Understanding the mechanisms for vocal fold defense against various environmental and systemic challenges is necessary to identify speakers who are susceptible to some benign voice problems and to treat a variety of voice disorders.
