Adult Language Program: Adult clients
with varying neurologic diagnoses including CVA and
TBI are seen weekly for individual and/or group therapy.
Therapy focuses on improving communicative status
including functional communication via a multi-modal
approach. Therapy sessions are held in-house weekly
to bi-weekly. Times are subject to change.
Adult Stuttering Group: This group consists
of adult clients who stutter. The group provides an
opportunity for adults who stutter to share experiences
regarding their speech difficulties. Therapy focuses
on learning new speech patterns to help smooth out
or inhibit stuttering behavior. Emphasis is also on
reducing the typical feelings of fear and embarrassment
common to adults who stutter. Held in-house. Bill
Murphy supervises. Consultative services may also
be provided by a graduate student in clinical psychology.
Birth-Three Program: This program provides
diagnostic and therapy services for children from
birth-3 years who display a wide variety of disorders

Parent-Child Fluency Therapy Group:
This group is available to preschool-age children
who stutter and their parents when sufficient numbers
of families are available. Children interact with
their peers in a group setting where "easy talking"
and turn-taking are emphasized. Parents, children,
and clinicians engage in group activities designed
to enable parents and their children who stutter to
apply fluency-facilitating skills outside of the therapy
setting. Individual therapy for the children and additional
counseling services are provided as needed.
Preschool Speech-Language-Hearing Screenings:
These screenings are performed at various preschools
in the community during the academic calendar year.
