    ASHA AWARDS

    Congratulations to all of the Students who received an award!

    New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship

    Bharath Chandrasekaran who has been awarded the New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship for 2007 from the ASHA Foundation.  This competitive award ($ 10,000) is intended for strong doctoral candidates who will commit to attaining the research doctoral degree and to working in a higher education academic community in the field of communication sciences and disorders in the United States.  Bharath will be receiving this award at the ASHA Foundation founder's breakfast at the ASHA convention this year.

    ASHA Minority Student Leadership Program

    Dianamari Castillo-Ruiz, a graduate student in our SLP program has been selected as a participant in the ASHA Minority Student Leadership Program Class of 2007.  She will participate in a set of leadership-focused educational programs and activities to building and enhance leadership skills at the 2007 Convention.

    ASHA 2007 Graduate Student Scholarship

    Megan MacPherson received the American Speech and Hearing Foundation 2007 Graduate Student Scholarship for $4000. She will be receiving her award at the ASHA convention.
