Professor Seidl teaches courses in the area of speech and language development as well as linguistics.  Some specific courses include an undergraduate class in language development and graduate classes in phonology and the interface between phonology and syntax.  Her research concerns early infant understanding of speech sounds and grammatic structure of language.
